First time?
Attending a class
• Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class.
• We have 2 yoga studios - a hot studio for Bikram yoga. All other styles are done in another studio with no heat.
• Come on an empty stomach – don’t eat at least 2 hours before class.
• If it has been a long day or you love perfume kindly use our showers before class.
• If you have any medical conditions please check with your doctor before attending and let your instructor know.
• Arrive with a open mind – our studios offer a safe space for personal growth, and non judgement.
• No shoes, cell phones and personal belongings are allowed in the yoga studios - please leave them in the change room or waiting area. The studio is looked during class so all is safe.
• After your first yoga classes you may wake up the next day feeling muscles you never knew existed and may be stiff – come back as soon as possible and let the magic of yoga sort it out.
• You may feel very energised, completely relaxed, dizzy, nauseous or get a headache.
• Each person is different so all reactions are normal.
Attending a Bikram yoga class
• The room is hot, so be prepared to work hard and sweat lots!
• Drink lots of water before you start – at least 3 litres of water 24 hours before you start.
• Wear as little as possible – it’s hot you are going to sweat.
• Baggy clothes will be extremely uncomfortable, form fitting clothes are best.
• You may struggle with the heat in the beginning, don’t worry this is a natural transitional period where the body learns to sweat more efficiently.
• Please bring a large (bath size) towel with you - we do have towels for hire.
